about

Some humble ideas about the album:

Originally called "Piano songs for contemporary dandies, bearded hipsters and modern people like us", "The shape of the night to come" is Mi Cosa de Resistance's (My thing "De Resistance") first piano album (understanding "piano" in broad terms).

Each one of my albums is thought as a collection of songs with a similar sonic palette or a specific character in terms of textures and atmospheres.

In "The shape of the night to come" the piano is the element in common but the sonic palette evolves from track to track, in a process of degradation from the first song to the last one. The sound of the album shifts from lush and pristine to a more rusty and lofi sound.

To conclude, yes, the title of the album is a tribute to Ornette Coleman's "The shape of the jazz to come" which is a beautiful and prophetic name for a record.
